Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE

  1. In the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, as fully inspired of God and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
  2. In one God, Eternal and Self-existent, revealed to man as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  3. In one Mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, who is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He died on the cross and shed his blood as a sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  4. That man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, but saved and justified only through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that all who believe and repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
  5. In the personal bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  6. In the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.
  7. The gospel of the Kingdom which include the dominion of each believer and the personal responsibility of progressive sanctification in order to live victoriously on the earth.
  8. That water baptism is the full immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that we should arise to walk in newness of life.
  9. In the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit; and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
  10. That the one true Church is a corporate body of believers, who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit; and a company chosen and called by God to manifest His Kingdom and rulership on the earth.
  11. In the adoption of sons (both male and female) into the household of God as our Heavenly Father, and enjoy the same benefits as Jesus Christ, the firstborn of brethren and forerunner of our faith.
  12. In the households of fathers and sons, and the responsibility of empowering and equipping the sons rests upon the father (elder) of the house.  The father is divinely chosen and gifted by God to represent the government of the local assembly.
  13. That the local assembly is the autonomous and organically formed household of faith, perpetuating a culture of the early church, and corporately manifesting the church in the city.
  14. In the proceeding Word of God as revealed to the current day apostles by the Holy Spirit, with sound doctrine and practical application.
  15. That fellowship is the assembling of like-minded believers based on unity in faith and doctrine.
  16. In the frequent practise of the Lord’s supper as an ordinance for all believers, to publish the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in doing so access the manifold grace of God.
  17. In the autonomy of each believer in their communication and access to God, and is encouraged to engage in a personal lifestyle of prayer and holiness.
  18. That divine healing was provided for in the Old Testament, was an important part of the earthly ministry of Jesus, and is included in our redemption, and available to all believers.
  19. In the sending of the church into the entire world for the purpose of the establishment and increase of His government on the earth.
  20. In the continuous reformation and progressive perfection of the corporate church, as constantly revealed by God to those He will.
